On Tuesday, September 18, 2012, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain attended the opening of the Judicial Year held at the Palacio de Justicia in Madrid.
Upon his arrival, His Majesty was greeted by members of the “…Governing Board of the Supreme Court and the Chief Justice and the Supreme Judicial Council, Mr. Gonzalo Moliner…”
On September 17, 2012, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain was at the Cuatro Vientos Air Base in Madrid where he was given a test fly in the new NH-90 helicopter. Apparently, this isn’t the first time His Majesty has been in a helicopter; in fact, he is an expert pilot with over “… 3,740 flight hours…” under his royal belt.
Any way, according to the Spanish online newspaper, ABC, the old king had a fabulous time flying in this nifty ‘copter for “… 30 minutes…”
During today’s event the prince gave a speech noting the “… serious and worrying increase in the number of young people who do not study and the importance of receiving an education…”
On September 14, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias attended the opening of the 2012 Global Alumni Forum organized by the Instituto de Empresa Parque Ferial Juan Carlos I in Madrid.
On September 15, 2012, Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias turns 40 years old. In honor of her special day, several new photos were released of the princess and her beautiful family.
On Thursday, September 13, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain was at the Biblioteca Nacional España in Madrid to attend the opening of an exhibition by the late photographer, Mr. Juan Gyenes, entitled, Gyenes: Maestro Fotógrafo.
According to the official site for the royal house of Spain the exhibition is “… divided into five sections…” The exhibitionshowcases Mr. Gyenes personal items such as “… cameras, medals and decorations… “ and more.
Meanwhile, at Palacio de la Zarzuela, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I held audiences with the Ibero-American Secretary General, Mr. Enrique Iglesias, the Governing Board of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs from Algeria, Mr. Mourad Medelci.
