On February 20, 2013, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco visited the new building of the Lycée Technique and Hôtelier de Monaco. During their visit the princely couple toured the gym, auditorium, the computer lab, staff room, and much more.
On February 15, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived in Haiti for a brief visit. Today, the sovereign prince will meet with the President of Haiti, Mr. Michel Martelly and inaugurate the Prince Albert II of Monaco Nursery and Elementary School. The new school was funded by Monaco Collectif Haïti.
According to the Palais Princier Prince Albert II will also meet with:
“Dr Jean-William Pape, Director of the GHESKIO Centre, a precursor in research and the fight against HIV/AIDS, and Dr Alain Mérieux. And, he will also participate in working meetings with Michaëlle Jean, UNESCO Special Envoy, and Chantal Moreno, representing the International Francophone Organization (OIF).
The Prince will then visit the premises of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti.”
The sovereign prince danced down Sambódromo alongside the members of the Portela Samba School, beautiful dancers in elaborate costumes, giant floats, and musicians playing their Agogôs bells, Repiniques, Pandeiros, Surdo and Tamborim drums with much delight. In case you were wondering why the sovereign prince was dancing in the parade, well, he was the Portela Samba School’s special guest. Basically, he was asked to join in. 🙂

On the evening of February 9, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the 2013 Baile do Copa held at the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Guests in attendance including local dignitaries, VIPS, and a bunch of really good looking people having a fabulous time.
While Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco spends a lovely and relaxing holiday in St. Barts with her friends His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco is currently in Rio de Janeiro, Brazilhaving a blast. His timing could not have been better. Why? Well, it is Carnival! 🙂
Any way, on Friday, February 8, 2013, the sovereign prince visited the Casa do Menor São Miguel Arcanjo, a charity for at risk children. Afterwards, the fun-loving prince danced with the locals and generally had a fabulous time.
Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover visited the Musée d’Archéologie Préhistorique to view the new exhibit entitled,A la Conquête du Feu, on February 8, 2013.
Per the Palais Princier:
“The Musée d’Archéologie Préhistorique presents its new exhibition, A la Conquête du Feu, in partnership with the Musée d’Archéologie de Nice. Using both historical and technical, through the use of panels, objects, and a documentary film the public will discover the origins of the fire in its role both in social and cultural cohesion of a group of people and the tools used from prehistory to today.”
