His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends Day 10 of the 2013 IBSF Bob & Skeleton World Championships.

sovereignOn February 3, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended day 10 of the 2013 IBSF Bob & Skeleton World Championships held at the Olympia Bob Run in St. Moritz, Switzerland.

The sovereign prince along with hundreds of Bobsleigh fans watched the final heat of the Four Man Bobsleigh and winners ceremony.

sovereign His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco, along with His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium, attended the 1st Congrès Interdisciplinaire du Développement Durable held at the Palais des Congrès in Namur, Belgium.

According to the official website for the 1st Congrès Interdisciplinaire du Développement Durable the theme and purpose of the conference is to:

“…analyze how the concept of transition ties in with the notion of sustainable development (What are the issues that justify a transition? Which kind of transition and how to put it in place? Is it scientifically, economically, and socially achievable? What are the barriers? What positive experiences are there?) 

The purpose of conference is encourage innovative scientific perspective, promote an interdisciplinary approach, enhance the recognition of scientists working on sustainable development.”

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Participates in a Conference at the Université Catholique de Louvain.

prince albert IIOn January 30, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco participated in the conference, Océans, Climat, Alimentation: Les Voies de la Transition Vers un Monde Durable, held at the Université Catholique de Louvain in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium.

During today’s conference the sovereign prince gave a speech entitled, Les Menaces sur la vie des Océans se Précisent. Quels Espoirs pour les Surmonter?, which focused on “…the threats to ocean life and the possible solutions to overcome them.”

Other guest speakers included the Vice-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and UCL professor, Mr. Jean-Pascal Van Ypersele and the United Nations Rapporteur for the Right to Food, Mr.Olivier De Schutter.

Tomorrow, Prince Albert II, along with His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium, will attend the 1st Congrès Interdisciplinaire du Développement Durable: Quelle Transition Pour nos Sociétés conference held at the Palais des Congrès in Namur.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco to Visit Belgium.

alIt was announced by the Palais Princier that His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco will visit Belgium beginning on January 30-31, 2013.

On Wednesday, the sovereign prince will participate in the conference, Océans, Climat, Alimentation: Les Voies de la Transition Vers un Monde Durable, held at the Université Catholique in Louvain-la-Neuve. During the conference, the sovereign prince will deliver a speech entitled, Les Menaces sur la vie des Océans se Précisent. Quels Espoirs pour les Surmonter?

On Thursday the sovereign prince, along with His Royal Highness Prince Philippe of Belgium, will attend the 1st Congrès Interdisciplinaire du Développement Durable: Quelle Transition Pour nos Sociétés conference held at the Palais des Congrès in Namur.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends Mass at the Cathédrale de Monaco. (VIDEO)

On Sunday, January 27, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco attended Mass at the Cathédrale de Monaco in celebration of Sainte-Dévote.  Afterwards, the sovereign prince returned to the Palais Princier where he waved to the cheering crowds below.

 

Unfortunately, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover and Princess Stephanie did not attend today’s celebrations.  At this time it is unknown why the three princesses were absent.
