HRH Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton: Wedding Updates

Per the official website of the British Monarchy here are the latest details in regards to the upcoming British royal wedding on April 29, 2011.

Miss Catherine Middleton will travel to the wedding service at Westminster Abbey by car along a route that will include The Mall, Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall, and Parliament Square.
The wedding service will begin at 11am. The Dean of Westminster Abbey will conduct the service, the Archbishop of Canterbury will marry HRH Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton, and the Bishop of London will give the address.
The new royal couple, now married, will return along a Processional Route in a carriage procession to Buckingham Palace. The route will include Parliament Square, Whitehall, Horse Guard Parade, and The Mall.
On arrival at Buckingham Palace, The Queen will give a reception for the couple and guests drawn from the congregations representing the royal couple’s official and private lives.
The Prince of Wales will give a private dinner, followed by dancing, at Bucking ham Palace in the evening, for the couple and their close friends and family.

Peter and Autumn Phillips Baby Name Revealed?

According to the British newspaper, Eastern Daily Press, Peter and Autumn Phillips have named their daughter… Savannah.

Donna Semmens, the reporter from the paper, notes that the baby’s name was revealed during church service at Sandringham which was “…attended by the Royal family this morning.” Ms. Semmens goes on to note:

…prayers in Sandringham church this morning included a special mention by the Rev Jonathan Riviere for “Peter and Autumn Phillips and their daughter Savannah,” the first time the name has been used in public.

Several royal watchers are in a bit of a fit over the name — Savannah. Comments range from:

“[The name] falls under the category of made-up names along with other cities, last names as first names, and alternatively spelled names. I thought we could count on the royal family for a little more tradition than this. Around this neck of the woods, people name their dogs Savannah!”
“It sounds like a stripper’s name!”
“Not a name I was expecting, but a lovely one nonetheless. It always makes me think of the beautiful town in Georgia.”

If the baby’s name is Savannah, and there is no confirmation yet, it’s not that bad. I mean, it could have been worse. She could have ended up with the name Audio Science or Moon Unit.

Autumn Phillips Gives Birth to a Healthy Baby Girl

On December 30, 2010, Autumn Phillips, wife of Peter Phillips and daughter-in-law to the Princess Royal, gave birth to a healthy baby girl at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in Britain.

The baby weighed 8lbs 8oz according to a Buckingham Palace press release.

According to the Daily Mail.co.uk:

‘The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Autumn’s family have been informed and are delighted with the news,’ a spokesman said.

The little girl is the first child for Mr and Mrs Phillips and the first grandchild of the Princess Royal. She is 12th in line to the throne.

Oprah Winfrey’s New Documentary: Finding Sarah (about Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York)

In this Sunday’s Parade Magazine, media goddess and gazillionaire, Oprah Winfrey discusses her new network, OWN, and the new documentary Finding Sarah… about Sarah Ferguson.

Barf.

Any way, this six-part documentary (to be aired sometime in Spring 2011) follows the embarrassing saga of Sarah, Duchess of York and her ambition to change her pathetic life around. The idea for the documentary can about after Miss Winfrey interviewed Sarah regarding her shady life and her attempt to receive “… £500,000 [for access to Prince Andrew]” from some dude.

I remember the last thing I said to her when I left the interview: ‘Don’t let me see you on Dancing with the Stars.’ [Then] She started emailing me and at one point asked what did I think of her doing a celebrity chef show. And I said, ‘That’s not going to help you. How are you going to rehabilitate yourself?’

Miss Winfrey goes on to discuss her idea of documenting Sarah in hopes that if she sees herself the way others do it might help her change her ways. Sarah was apparently reluctant at first. According to Miss Winfrey, Sarah said:

‘Let me think about it…’ She sent me an email about how it’s so difficult to give up going to Spain this year, And I said, ‘You have no money. People who don’t have money don’t go to Spain on holiday. HELLO!!!’

Ugh. I have no respect for Sarah Ferguson and I highly doubt I will watch that crap-fest documentary. But, if you do, let me know what you think of it.

Catherine Middleton Spends Christmas With her Family in Berkshire, England Sans Prince William

While the members of the British royal family (minus Prince William who had to work) spent their holiday together at the Queen’s modest pad, Sandringham, Miss Catherine Middleton spent the holidays with her family at their home in Berkshire.

The paparazzi once again photographed the future Queen of England as she drove home with her family from somewhere… I don’t know where, but they went somewhere in lovely old England.

Miss Middleton was all smiles, of course, during the quick drive into her parents home (she must have received amazing presents this year thus the mega watt smile.)

Meanwhile, Catherine’s fiance (who seemed to have lost even more hair since the Mario Testino shoot last month :snicker:) was “…on call with his search-and-rescue squadron at RAF Valley on Anglesey” according to the Daily Mail.
