Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II along with Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Nottingham on June 13, 2012, as part of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

On June 12, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses the Earl and Countess of Wessex continued their visit to Gibraltar as part of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
On the agenda today, the royal couple visited the Seafarers Centre, the Port Authority and Vessel Traffic Control, and the Stay Behind Cave. They also toured the Gibraltar Museum, met with members of “… Her Majesty’s Armed Forces at the Tower at the Navy Base…”, opened a playground at the Morrish Castle Estate, attended a birthday parade at Casemates Square in honor of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and much more.
Their Royal Highnesses the Earl and Countess of Wessex have arrived in Gibraltar on June 11, 2012, for a three-day visit as part of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Despite the controversy of their visit the earl and countess looked happy and relaxed upon their arrival at the airport where they were greeted by the Prime Minister of Gibraltar, Mr. Fabian Picardo and the Governor Sir Adrian Johns. Any way, on today’s agenda for the royal couple include a Diamond Jubilee song and dance road show (what ever that is), participate in an Oak tree planting ceremony at the Governor’s residence, then they will “…lay the foundation stone for the Diamond Jubilee Monument at the Jubilee Commonwealth Park…” In the evening, the Earl and Countess of Wessex will attend a reception and a gala dinner at the Rock Hotel.

On Saturday, June 9, 2012, His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh was released from King Edward VII Hospital in London. As you may know by now the duke was admitted to the hospital earlier this week for a bladder infection.
As he left the hospital the duke looked a tad frail, but nonetheless in good spirits. Tomorrow, he will celebrate his 91st birthday.
