Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal Enjoys Day 7 of the London Olympics.

Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal was at the Velodrome to watch Track Cycling alongside His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent.  And, once again, Team GB won the gold medal in the Men’s Team Pursuit.  Team Australia won the silver and Team New Zealand took home the bronze.

In the afternoon, the princess attended the Men’s Field Hockey Match, Group A, at the Riverbank Arena.  Team GB dominated Team Pakistan with the final score of 4-1.

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands and Family Enjoy Day Seven of the London Olympics.

 

Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands along with their daughters watched Team Netherlands participate in the Team and Individual Dressage Grand Prix events held at Greenwich Park on August 3, 2012.

The family cheered as rider Adelinde Cornelissen came in 2nd in the Individual Dressage event with a score of 81.687. Rider Edward Gal came in 11th with a score of 75.395.  In the team event Netherlands came in 3rd with a score of 76.809.

 

 

Members of the British Royal Family Enjoy Day 6 of the London Olympic Games.

On August 2, 2012, His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh along with Their Royal Highnesses the Earl and Countess of Wessex attended the Men’s Lightweight Boxing match held at the ExCel Arena in London. The royals cheered as they watched Josh Taylor of Team GB and Domenico Valentino of Team Italy beat the crap out of each other.  Sadly, Mr. Taylor lost.  The score: 15-10.

Across town Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal watched the Men’s Double Trap Shooting Final held at the Royal Artillery Barracks. Mr. Peter Wilson of Team GB won the gold medal.   🙂

Meanwhile, Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Men’s Singles Quarterfinal match to support Mr. Andy Murray of Team GB who was playing against Mr. Nicolas Almagro of Team Spain.  So, who won?  Mr. Murray of Team GB, of course.   🙂

Afterward, the royal couple along with the ever present third wheel of the bunch (I’m kidding) His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales as well as Their Royal Highnesses the Earl and Countess of Wessex, Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal and her husband, Mr. Timothy Laurence, attended the Men’s Team Sprint Final in Track Cycling.

The royal family along with 6,000 fans clapped and screamed inside the Velodrome for Team GB cyclists Philip Hindes, Sir Chris Hoy and Jason Kenny.  The cycling trio won the gold medal and set a world record.  Team France received the silver medal and Team Germany won the bronze.

Members of the British Royal Family Enjoy Day Four of the 2012 London Olympics. (VIDEO)

On Tuesday, July 31, 2012, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall, Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of CambridgeHis Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales, Their Royal Highnesses Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, Peter and Autumn Phillips and Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal were at Greenwich Park to watch Team GB participate in the “… show jumping Equestrian event…” 

Wow.  Long sentence.  Sorry about that.   🙂

Anyway, the royal family clapped, smiled and cheered as Team GB performed brilliantly throughout the competition.  In the end, Team Germany won the gold medal.  Team GB won the silver medal and Team New Zealand won the bronze medal.

Afterward, the Duchess Kate of Cambridge, Prince Harry and the Duke of Cambridge visited the Athletes Village at Olympic Park in London to met with members of Team GB.  They had fun.

Soon, the Duke of Cambridge waltzed on over to the Water Polo Arena to watch Men’s Water Polo, Group B Match #17.  Team GB had some tough competition against the heavily favored team, Serbia.

In the end, Team GB lost… big time.  The score: 21-7. Team Serbia basically kicked their booty to put it mildly.   🙂

Members of the British Royal Family Enjoy Day Three of the London Olympics

On July 30, 2012, Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal watched various Badminton matches held at the Wembley Arena in London.

In the afternoon, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall, Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales, and Their Royal Highnesses Princess Beatrice and Prince Eugenie were at Greenwich Park to watch and support Ms. Zara Phillips.  Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal watched “… from the grounds of the 5.7 kilometer course…”

Ms. Phillips was participating in the “…second phase of the three-day team eventing competition…” (cross-country).  She came in 10th place with a score of 46.10. Click here and here to view photos.

And, finally, Their Royal Highnesses the Duke of Cambridge and  Prince Harry of Wales attended the Men’s Team Final in Gymnastics.  Team China won the gold medal with a final score of 275.997.  Japan won the silver medal with a final score of 271.952 and Team GB won the bronze medal with a final score of 271.711.

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge Attends the Royal Academy of Arts Reception.

On the evening of July 30, 2012, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge attended the Royal Academy of Arts “… creative industries reception hosted by the British government supported by the Founders Forum…” in London.

According to the Press Association tonight’s event celebrates:

… UK culture, creativity, art and entertainment.  The event is part of the Government’s GREAT campaign which aims to use the platform of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to showcase Britain’s capabilities and promote and enhance the country’s reputation aboard.
