News Regarding His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex and Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal. (VIDEO)

On October 11, 2012, His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex opened the new Abraham Darby Academy in Telford.

Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge Visits Newcastle. (VIDEOS)

On Wednesday, October 10, 2012, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge visited Newcastle. During her visit the duchess toured the Newcastle Civic Centre, visited Elswick Park which is, “…protected under the Queen Elizabeth II Fields Challenge.”  Whilst there the duchess, “… met with local community groups and school children undertaking activities inside the park.”

The Duchess of Cambridge also visited the “… Keyfund at Gateshead Youth Council where she met groups of young people who have recently been supported by the charity.”

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales Visits Scotland. (VIDEOS)

On October 9, 2012, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales (also known as the Duke of Rothesay) was in Scotland to participate in several events.

During his visit the prince opened the Knockando Woollen Mill in Moray where he met with staff, trustees and volunteers.  Afterward, the duke unveiled a memorial to the Women’s Land Army.  He also met with “… representatives of the Crown Estate, the NFU and others involved in the creation and maintenance of the Memorial…”

At the end of the day, the Prince of Wales “… visited Aberlour in celebration of the village’s bi-centenary. “  Whilst there he also “… met representatives of the Aberlour bi-centennial committee, local school children and members of the local community. The prince also unveiled a plaque and viewed the Aberlour Coat of Arms Mosaic, created by children from Aberlour Primary School to commemorate the bi-centenary.”

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Unveils a New Monument.

On October 9, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II unveiled the Windsor and Eton Society Diamond Jubilee Tribute monument in Windsor.  The sculpture was:

“…designed by Caroline Basra a 15-year-old pupil at Windsor Girl’s School as her entry in a Windsor and Eton Society competition to find a worthy tribute to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.”

On Monday, October 8, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge:

“… met trainee lawyers who have been helped by a scholarship established in honour of the royals at Middle Temple – one of the ancient Inns of Court in central London – where the Duke is an honorary barrister and member of the institution’s governing body.”
