On Friday, April 29, 2022, Her Royal Highness Princess Marie of Denmark attended the Literature Prize of the Ambassadors of the Francophone Countries held at the University of Copenhagen in Copenhagen.
According to the Danish royal court, the Literature Prize was:
“…created by the ambassadors of the countries with diplomatic representation in Denmark that are members of the “Organization Internationale de la Francophonie” or where the French language has a special status. The purpose of the award is to focus on cultural diversity and increase awareness of the culture of the French-speaking countries.”
During today’s ceremony, Princess Marie presented the award to Moroccan economist and author, Mr. Fouad Laroui, for his novel, The Naked Statues, which was published in Danish in 2019.
