On June 1, 2015, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark visited the volunteer association, FitforKids, in Taastrup.
Established in 2007, the association “…provides a free weight-loss program for children between the ages between 7-15 years and their families. The program consists of training for both children and parents, nutritional counseling, parent coaching, motivation program and social events for families…” writes the Danish royal court.
On Monday, June 1, 2015, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway accompanied by Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attended the opening of the 2nd Annual EAT Stockholm Food Forum held at the Clarion Hotel Sign in Stockholm, Sweden.
According to the EAT official website, the two-day forum will focus on:
“…nutrition, health and environmental sustainability. The EAT Stockholm Food Forum is an arena where science, politics and business can share insight and ideas to achieve our common goal of sustainably feeding a healthy world population.
EAT spearheads an holistic approach to today’s food related challenges. Population growth, climate change, human health, resource management, sustainability and food security are independent fields of science and research but they are also important political issues and exciting business opportunities. Through an informal forum, which encourages dialogue and discourse, EAT brings together leading scientists, policymakers and business professionals to catalyze innovation, cross-fertilization, translation and implementation.”
On Monday, June 1, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco visited the Solar Impulse 2 mission control center in Monte-Carlo.
According to a press release, the Solar Impulse 2:
“…will land in the Japanese city of Nagoya, organizers said on June 1, as bad weather delayed a landmark attempt by a solar plane to cross the Pacific Ocean. The flight from Nanjing to Hawaii was scheduled to be the longest section of the maiden solar-powered global circumnavigation, an attempt to promote green energy…”
And, finally, on the evening May 28, 2015, the sovereign prince and Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover attended the launch of legendary designer and author, Mr. Hubert de Givenchy, new book entitled, To Audrey with Love, held at the Galerie Ribolzi in Monte-Carlo. On Sunday, May 31, 2015, His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge and His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales participated in day two of the 2015 Audi Polo Challenge held at Coworth Park, Ascot, England.
