On Tuesday, June 10, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias presided over a meeting the board of trustees from the Fundación Príncipe de Asturias as well as with representatives from the Príncipe de Asturias and Miembros Protectores at the Palacio Real de Madrid.
Thereafter, the royal couple attended a concert performed by the students from the Escuela Internacional de Música according to the Spanish royal court.

On June 10, 2014, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias attended the Centenary of the Instituto Español de Oceanografía held at the Parque del Retiro in Madrid.
According to the Spanish royal court, the Instituto Español de Oceanografía:
“…was founded in 1914 and is dedicated to research in marine science, especially in matters related to the scientific knowledge of the oceans, the sustainability of fish stocks and the marine environment.”
