Members of the Danish Royal Family Attend the Opening of the Exhibition, ‘Prins Henrik af Danmark: HKH Prinsgemalen 1934-2014’. (VIDEO)

QMII and PHOn the afternoon of May 28, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II and His Royal Highness Prince Henrik of Denmark accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Joachim and Princess Marie of Denmark attended the opening of the exhibition, Prins Henrik af Danmark: HKH Prinsgemalen 1934-2014, at the Nationalhistoriske Museum at Frederiksborg Slot in Hillerød.

According to the official website for Nationalhistoriske Museum the exhibition:

“…tells about [Prince Henrik’s] life, background, and work on several continents with different cultures and languages. One main theme is Prince Consort’s official duties as a representative of Denmark and order Chancellor, and his role as ambassador of culture and nature and so on.

The exhibition’s other main theme goes behind the scenes and provides insight into the Prince Consort’s personal interests including his work as a writer, artist, collector, wine grower and sportsman.”

Anyway, during today’s event the 79-year-old prince unveiled a new portrait of himself entitled, Tre Livsstadier, painted by famed Danish artist, Mr. Niels Strøbek.
