On Tuesday, May 6, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Sofia of Spain arrived at Palacio de la Zarzuela in Madrid to preside over the Los Medios de Comunicación y los Jóvenes signing agreement.
On Monday, May 5, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Gustav of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg accompanied by the Mayor of Bad Berleburg, Mr. Bernd Fuhrmann, and the coordinator of the European Bison Project, Ms. Coralie Herbst, participated in a press conference at Schloss Berleburg to announce the results of the Bison project, Wisent Welt Wittgenstein.
According to AFP News, the Wisent Welt Wittgenstein is a: “…government-funded initiative which last year released the herd in an effort to restock the bison in the wild. European bison were once plentiful across Europe and Russia, though their numbers were decimated to near extinction by hunting and habitat encroachment.”
On May 6, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway along with dozens of volunteers participated in the 2014 Strandryddedagen (Coastal Cleanup Day) at Østre Bolærne in Nøtterøy, Vestfold.
On May 6, 2014, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark arrived at the Korsør Atletikstadion to attend the 2014 School Olympics Competition.
On Tuesday, May 6, 2014, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark arrived in Hundested to visit “…’Home’ a residence for children and young people and to celebrate the 110th birthday of Børnehjælpsdagens (Children’s Day). The crown princess is patron of Børnehjælpsdagens…” according to the Danish royal court.
