On April 9, 2014, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales visited the Rural Auction Centre in Crooklands in the county of Cumbria where he met with “…local farmers, apprentices and business owners…” according to Clarence House.
The prince also attended the launch of The Prince’s Countryside Fund Tourism Initiative at the George Hotel in Penrith, attended a reception at the Oddfellows Arms in Caldbeck to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Northern Fells Group, and visited the Workington Hospice in Workington.
