MonacoOn Sunday, January 26, 2014, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco along with the Archbishop of Monaco, Msgr. Bernard Barsi, members of the Diocese of Monaco, and dozens of Monégasque citizens celebrated the 2014 Fête de Sainte-Dévote.

Sainte-Dévote is the patron saint of Monaco as well as for the island of Corsica.

During this evening’s celebrations the princely couple and guests attended a torchlight ceremony at the Sainte-Dévote church where a boat is placed in front of the little church then set ablaze.

Tomorrow, the princely couple will attend a traditional Mass at the Cathédrale de Monaco then proceed to the Palais Princier where they are expected to make a balcony appearance.
