marieofdenmarkOn the morning of January 20, 2014, Her Royal Highness Princess Marie of Denmark attended the opening of the Syddansk Universitets Børnesprogskonference (Southern University Child Language Conference) held at the Syddansk Universitet in Odense.

According to the official website for Syddansk Universitet the conference, held under the theme Børns sprogtilegnelse i Medvind og Modvind:

“…will focus on how the social context affects children’s language acquisition and on interventions that have proven efficacy in terms of supporting language development in both a-like and bilingual children…”

Prince Albert II of Monaco Attends a Ceremony in Paris. Plus, Other News. (VIDEO)

palaisprincierOn Friday, January 17, 2014, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco arrived at the Hôtel des Arts et Métiers  in Paris, France to attend a “…diplomatic corps ceremony…”  

In other news, the Palais Princier issued a press release regarding the upcoming construction of the extension on the sea:

“H.S.H. Prince Albert selected Bouygues Travaux Publics, a group with which the Monégasque government will begin negotiating construction of the extension on the sea at Le Portier.

Two groups remained on the short list: Bouygues Travaux Publics and Vinci Concessions, respectively first and second after a preliminary selection by the Administrative Departments concerned.

These major groups were selected for their know-how, technical competency and the financial guarantees necessary to complete this project.

From now on, a period not exceeding 18 months will begin at the end of which the State and the selected Group will have to find a final agreement on the full construction project.”

News Regarding His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan. (VIDEOS)

On January 20, 2014, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan held a meeting with “…a delegation from the United States Congress and Senate…” at the royal office in Amman.

According to Petra News, discussions focused on the “…developments of the U.S.-sponsored peace talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis, wherein the King reiterated that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital was a top Jordanian interest.” 

His Majesty accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein also visited the Royal Jordanian Air Force headquarters this afternoon.

Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway Attend the Årets Forbilde. (VIDEOS)

haakonmettemaritOn January 20, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway arrived at the Nobels Fredssenter in Oslo to attend the Årets Forbilde (Role Model of the Year Award).  The winner of the award went to Mr. Musa Anderssen.

HRH Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark Visits Abu Dhabi, UAE.

FredOn Monday, January 20, 2014, His Royal Highness Crown Princes Frederik of Denmark attended the opening ceremony of the 7th World Future Energy Summit (WFES) held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

According to the official website for the WFES the summit is:

“…apart of the 2014 Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.  The WFES, held under the patronage of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, is the world’s foremost event dedicated to renewable energies, energy efficiency and clean technologies. 

The WFES attracts world leaders, international policy makers, industry experts, investors from the public and private sector and media, who gather in Abu Dhabi to discuss practical and sustainable solutions to future energy challenges.”

During today’s event the future king of Denmark witnessed a “…strategic framework agreement [between the United Arab Emirates and the government of Denmark] outlining nine areas of collaboration focused on advancing renewable energy and sustainability globally.”  You can read more about the signing agreement here.
