His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan Meets With the Foreign Minister of Qatar and the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States. (VIDEOS)

On July 17, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan held an audience with Foreign Minister of Qatar, Mr. Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah, at Al Hummar Palace in Amman.

Discussions focused on the latest developments in the region, specifically the Syrian crisis, and ways to forge closer ties between Jordan and Qatar.

His Majesty also held talks with the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Mr. Nabil Elaraby. Discussions focused on the never-ending Syrian crisis as well as ways to achieve peace in the Middle East.  According to Petra News, His Majesty and Mr. Elaraby also discussed the :

“…efforts led by the United States Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry, to bring the Palestinians and the Israelis closer to revive the peace process and address all final status issues.”

Their Majesties King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium Visit Eupen. (VIDEOS)

On Thursday, July 18, 2013, Their Majesties King Albert II and Queen Paola of Belgium visited the town of Eupen, in the province of Liège, as part of their farewell tour of Belgium.

Upon their arrival to the town Their Majesties where warmly greeted by the Minster-President of the Government of the German Speaking Community of Belgium, Mr. Karl-Heinz Lambertz, as well as other local government officials.

After a reception, held in the “…gardens at the headquarters the Minister-President…” the reigning couple walked through the town square where they met with the locals who cheered and clapped for Their Majesties.

TRHs The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall Visit Lostwithiel (VIDEOS)

ccTheir Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall completed their three-day summer tour of Devon and Cornwall with a visit to the lovely town of Lostwithiel this morning.

Today, the royal couple toured of the newly renovated Lostwithiel Stannary Palace also known as the Duchy Palace.  During their visit the prince and the duchess met with “…those involved in the £1 million restoration of the palace as well as toured the building…” according to Clarence House.  After their tour the royal couple unveiled a new plaque marking their visit to the Duchy Palace.

The Duchess of Cornwall also visited the Lostwithiel Drill Hall where she met with “…representatives of three of Her Royal Highness’s charities: the Cornwall Air Ambulance, Shelterbox and the Cornwall Community Foundation, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year…” according to the newspaper This is Cornwall.

The highlight of the day for The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall was a visit to the Lostwithiel Parade Square where they met with locals and officials. Whilst in the town square the Lostwithiel Town Band played “Happy Birthday” in celebration of The Duchess of Cornwall’s 66th birthday.

News Regarding TMs King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan. (VIDEO)

On Wednesday, July 17, 2013, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan attended the launch of the Disi Water Conveyance Project, which is designed to “…pump 100,000,000  cubic meters of water per year from the Disi Aquifer in southern Jordan to the governorates of Mafraq, Zarqa, Irbid and Amman…” according to various sources.

His Majesty, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II of Jordan, also met with United States Secretary of State, Mr. John Kerry — again — this afternoon at Al Hummar Palace in Amman.  The purpose of their meeting was to discuss the latest updates on the “…Middle East peace talks between Palestinians and Israelis…” as well as the latest developments in Syria and Egypt.

Meanwhile, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan met with volunteers from the “…Ramadan initiative, Tasbeeret May Wa Tamr, a group which distributes water and dates along the roads at sunset to people en route to their homes or on their way back from work…” according to Petra News.

During their meeting the volunteers informed Her Majesty that last year they disturbed over “…27,000 packages during Ramadan last year.  This year the volunteers aims to distribute over 30,000 packages to people during the holy month of Ramadan.”  At the end of the meeting Her Majesty praised the good works by the Tasbeeret May Wa Tamr volunteers.

His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain Visits Rabat, Morocco. (VIDEOS)

On July 16, 2013, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain continued four-day visit to Rabat, Morocco.  Yesterday, His Majesty and his delegation visited the Mausoleum of Mohammed V in Rabat.  Whilst there His Majesty placed a wreath at the tomb of the late King Mohammed V and the late King Hassan II.

In the afternoon, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I accompanied by His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco attended the inauguration of the exhibition, 25 Años de Cooperación Arqueológica Hispano-Marroqui (25 years of Moroccan-Spanish Archaeological Cooperation) at the Royal Library and Archives of Morocco.  During yesterday’s event His Majesty King Juan Carlos I delivered digitized copies of Arabic manuscripts from the Real Biblioteca de San Lorenzo El Escorial in Spain to the library in Rabat.
