Members of the British Royal Family Attend Sunday Service at St. Mary Magdalene Church.

brf-cofarms1On Sunday, December 23, 2012, His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh along with His Royal Highness The Duke of York, Their Royal Highnesses Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, Their Royal Highnesses The Earl and Countess of Wessex attended Sunday service at St. Mary Magdalene Church at Sandringham.  Unfortunately, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II did not attend.  The reason for her absence: “The Queen was getting over the tail-end of a cold…”

drfcoa Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands are currently on holiday at the lovely Villa La Angostura in Argentina.  This afternoon the royal couple along with their three daughters posed for photographers at the “… gardens of El Messidor on the Nahuel Huapi, situated in the residence of the Governor of Neuquen…”

800px-Flag_of_the_Japanese_Emperor.svgOn December 23, 2012, His Imperial Majesty Emperor Akihito of Japan celebrated his 79th birthday.  This morning the Emperor, along with Her Imperial Majesty Empress Michiko as well as other members of the Imperial family, made a balcony appearance at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo where thousands of well-wishers gathered to wish the Emperor a very happy birthday.
