These medals, organized by Arts & Business, recognize the contribution of five leading philanthropists to the nation’s cultural life over a period of time.”
On December 18, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II visited the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London. Whilst there Her Majesty unveiled a plaque commemorating the Diamond Jubilee. Her Majesty also attended a cabinet meeting with members of the British government.

Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco along with Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover attended a ceremony honoring the 50th anniversary of the Constitution of 1962 held inside the Salle du Trône at the Palais Princier.
On December 18, 2012, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan attended the Tokyo film première of Les Miserables. On Monday, the crown prince met with Oman’s Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. On December 18, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje visited the Stichting Move (Foundation Move) in Utrecht. The Stichting Move “… encourages students and young people from Utrecht, Leiden, Delft and Amsterdam to become socially involved in their district … ” according to RVD.
Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands along with His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje, Princess Margriet, and Professor Pieter van Vollenhoven hosted a luncheon/reception for the medal winners from the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games on December 18, 2012.
Held at the Paleis op de Dam in Amsterdam today’s reception also celebrated the:
“… 100th anniversary of the Dutch Olympic Committee. In addition to the medal winners present at today’s luncheon there are also representatives from the NOC, NSF and National Paralympic Committee.”
