On the evening of August 3, 2012, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the Bal de la Croix-Rouge Monégasque held at inside the Salle Des Etoiles at the Sporting de Monte-Carlo. Also, in attendance were dozens of Monégasque government officials, Mr. Gareth Wittstock and his beautiful girlfriend, Roisin, the sovereign prince’s cousin, Mr. Chris Le Vine and his lovely wife, Baroness Elizabeth-Anne de Massy and her daughter, Melanie-Antoinette, Camilla of Bourban-Two Sicilies, Duchess of Castro and her husband Charles as well as hundreds of heavily tanned billionaires and millionaires with incredibly white teeth.
Guests paid up to 1,000 Euros to attend this famous gala ball which raises money for the Red Cross. The theme this year is “technological contemporary” (what ever that means) with the Salle des Etoiles decorated in “… black, red and white tones.” Apparently, over 8,000 black roses as well as white orchids filled the entire room. Amazing! 🙂
This years musicals guests include former drug addict and now sober, Boy George, and an acoustic set by the aging rock band The Scorpions to name a few. Also, during tonight’s ball there was a “…tombola… the top prize a diamond encrusted brooch by Repossi…” according to the Monaco Times.
Enjoy watching Prince Albert boogie on the dance floor whilst lip syncing to Hues Corporation’s “Rock the Boat” 🙂
Repossi is the jeweler . . .
Darn it not again…silly auto-correct!
Thank you, Sarah! 🙂
