Also, on opening day, beginning at 1:30 PM, there will be a lecture from Dr. Mally, Professor of History, Emeritus, from the University of California, Irvine. During the lecture, Dr. Mally will:
… examine the famous Russian jeweler, Carl Fabergé, and how he established his global reputation during the reigns of Russia’s last two tsars… Dr. Mally [will also] explore how we can use Fabergé’s work as a way to understand the social, political, and cultural upheaval that eventually led to the end of the Russian empire.
If you happen to live in southern California or will be visiting the area why not visit this special exhibition? It ends on January 6, 2013. 🙂
