Here is Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee message of thanks. The video was recorded last evening, prior to the Diamond Jubilee concert, in the Presence Room at Buckingham Palace.
According to RVD, the VNG represents:
…the interests of municipalities and is an important partner for other governments and civil society organizations. It is a service organization that also provides a platform for opinion formation and renewal.
On June 5, 2012, His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje opened a new townhouse, financed by the Oranje Fonds, in Varsselder-Veldhunten. Whilst there the prince was given a guided tour of the new building and “… met with board members of the townhouse…” according to RVD.
Meanwhile, at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Netherlands attended the conference, Access to Health Insurance. The princess gave an opening speech regarding the importance of, well, health insurance. According to RVD, other issues discussed during today’s event included the need for “…financial services for low income groups and access to health care in developing countries.”
Well, the Service of Thanksgiving, held at St. Paul’s Cathedral, is over. If you missed the live coverage you still have a chance to watch the carriage procession down The Mall as well as the balcony appearance live at Buckingham Palace here beginning roughly around 2:20 pm London time according to press release.
Of course, for those living in the United States you can watch a recorded version of the entire Service of Thanksgiving on BBC America (the channel will air it back to back early this morning). And, finally, if you do not receive BBC America I have no doubt today’s event will be uploaded on You Tube in the near future. 🙂
Oh! I almost forgot. This evening at 6pm London time Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will “…make a special broadcast of thanks following this weekend’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations” according to a press release via the palace.
The message from Her Majesty will be recorded and shown on British television network, ITN, and later uploaded to the official You Tube channel for the British monarchy. Yay! 🙂
