On June 20, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall welcomed His Holiness the Dalai Lama to Clarence House.
Awesome! 🙂
According to the Press Association, the Prince of Wales has been “…long-time supporter of the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader who is seen by China as a separatist threat.”
Upon His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s arrival at Clarence House the Prince of Wales smiled from ear to ear like a giddy child waiting to open his gifts on Christmas Day. Then the future king of England, “… threw up his arms then placed his hands together in a prayer sign before hugging the Dalai Lama and sharing a few words with the spiritual figurehead.” The Duchess of Cornwall was also excited to met His Holiness. She gave him a kiss on the cheek before the three of them, “…moved into the house’s garden room for their informal chat.”
Earlier in the day, His Holiness attended a Service of Prayer and Reflection at Westminster Abbey along with hundreds of attendees as well as many leaders from different faiths. He also met with Burmese opposition leader, Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi.
