On February 2, 2002, His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje married married the vivacious Argentine, Miss Máxima Zorreguieta. The couple met in 1999 in Sevilla, Spain during the Feria de Abril de Sevilla (it’s a fair thingy).
After years of dating, and with the final approval of the Dutch parliament to marry, Willem-Alexander and Máxima announced their engagement on March 30, 2001.
Less than a year later the couple were married. First, there was civil ceremony held at the Beurs van Berlage then a lavish religious ceremony held at the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam.
Today the couple have three daughters and the princess is remains one of the most popular members of the Dutch royal family.
