It was recently announced that Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco will attend the 84th Annual Academy Awards held at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, California on February 26, 2012. It is unknown as to why the princely couple are attending — perhaps it may have something to do with the upcoming film, Grace of Monaco, currently in pre-production — nevertheless, their presence at the awards ceremony will definitely be, well, a special treat. 🙂
This year’s Academy Awards will be hosted by Billy Crystal and will live air starting at 4 p.m. on the American television network ABC.

Should we start voting Akris or Armani ?
I’m going out on a limb and say that the princess may wear something from either Giambattista Valli or Elie Saab. 🙂 Most likely she will wear something from Armani Prive.
i’d die of happiness if she wore Elie Saab , she can pull off his creations beautifully , Giambattista would look good as well , but i too think she’ll be wearing Armani , just because she hasn’t worn Armani since her wedding and i guess Giorgio would be sad , but maybe she’ll wear Akris and be the first to wear Akris to the Oscars , who knows ! just hope HSH will surprise us …. a good surprise !
As much as I adore designs by Akris I would like to see the princess in another designer such as Elie Saab, Givenchy or even Roland Mouret. 🙂
i’d be very happy if she wore Elie Saab Haute Couture or any colorful (not neutral ,beige,or grey) couture gown 😀
The S/S 2012 Haute Couture shows are currently happening in Paris, and so far I have seen some amazing creations especially from Dior! Princess Charlene has worn a gown by Dior before (see the photo above with Prince Albert) so hopefully she will wear something from that design house. On Tuesday, the Chanel and Armani Prive collections will be shown. 🙂
yes , i saw the collections on TFS , the Dior one is so princessy and ladylike , loved it , also Giambatista Valli’s collection was amazing , i don’t think she’ll wear Chanel , and i think we have enough Chanel with Caroline :)) the gowns from the Haute Couture collection from Dior this S/S are much more beautiful than the one she wore to the princess Grace Awards 😀
hope Armani’s collection this spring will be good , if she dazzled on the Oscars she’ll get the attention she deserves , although i think she’s gown to wear beige :S
