On September 1, 2011, H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco attended the Les Amis du Liban à Monaco gala ball in Monte-Carlo. The foundation known as Les Amis du Liban à Monaco began in 2004 by Bouran Bourey with the purpose to:
…provide a better everyday life for the youth of Lebanon and the world, regardless of environment, religion or social status. The association also contributes to the improvement of the lives of the neediest. In 2009 alone Les Amis du Monao has invested in more than $500,000 in many projects related to education, health and culture, field collaboration with the WHO the Lebanese Red Cross and Monaco, the UNDP, and many other organizations.
