H.S.H. Princess Charlene of Monaco Pairs Up with Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, in Cape Town, South Africa

On July 8, 2011, H.S.H. Princess Charlene of Monaco became a patron of Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s charity, The Giving Trust, an organization, “…made up of 10 charities that focus on issues ranging from HIV to children and environmental protection.”

  1. I think it’s awesome that she’s the patron of this organization. Between this and the Special Olympics, I really think that she’s on the right track to actually doing some great volunteer work. The more I see of her, the more confident I am that she’s going to actually be a positive influence. She doesn’t strike me as just being there for the photo-ops or as silently hoping that the people these groups serve won’t touch her when she poses with them (I get that vibe from certain royals).
