HRH Princess Isabella of Denmark’s Official Confirmation Photos Released!

On the late afternoon of Saturday, April 30, 2022, the Danish royal court released the official portrait photos of Her Royal Highness Princess Isabella of Denmark’s Confirmation.

The group photo shows Princess Isabella with Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, His Royal Highness Prince Christian of Denmark, His Royal Highness Prince Vincent of Denmark, and Her Royal Highness Princess Josephine of Denmark.

Also, in the photo are Princess Isabella’s godparents: Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium, Her Royal Highness Princess Alexia of Greece, Mr. Peter Heering, Dr. Nadine Johnston, Mr. Christian Buchwald, and Mrs. Marie Louise Skeel.

On Sunday, April 17, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark accompanied His Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and Her Royal Highness Princess Isabella of Denmark, attended Easter Service at Aarhus Domkirke in Aarhus.

The royal family were warmly welcomed by the Royal Chaplain-in-Ordinary Henrik Wigh-Poulsen. On Saturday, April 30, Reverend Wigh-Poulsen who will preside over the confirmation of HRH Princess Isabella at Fredensborg Slotskirke

Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and HRH Princess Isabella of Denmark Attend Sunday Service.

On Sunday, March 13, 2022, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark accompanied by her grand-daughter, Her Royal Highness Princess Isabella of Denmark attended Sunday service at Garnisonskirken in Copenhagen.

Next month — April 30, 2022 — Her Royal Highness Princess Isabella will be confirmed in Fredensborg Slotskirke. The confirmation takes place at 12:00pm with the royal Chaplain-in-Ordinary, Bishop Henrik Wigh-Poulsen presiding. After the confirmation, Princess Isabella will have a private celebration with family and friends.  

For the past 100 years, Fredensborg Slotskirke has been used for a large number of religious ceremonies for members of the Danish royal family. In particular, the church has been the setting for royal confirmations including Princess Isabella was christened at Fredensborg Slotskirke July 1, 2007.
