(VIDEOS) News Regarding HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and HRH Prince Harry of Wales.

On Thursday, November 5, 2015, His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh and His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales attended a service at the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey in London, England.

According to the Press Association during today’s ceremony the duke and the prince:

“…laid their crosses of remembrance in front of two wooden crosses from the graves of unknown British soldiers from the First and Second World Wars.  The Last Post was played before a two-minute silence. The prince and his grandfather then walked around plots containing more than 100,000 crosses and chatted to veterans and families of those who had lost loved ones.”

(VIDEO) HRH Crown Princess Mary of Denmark Gives a Keynote Speech in Den Haag.

On the afternoon of November 5, 2015, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark attended the 3rd World Conference of Women’s Shelters held at the Conference Center World Forum in Den Haag, Netherlands.

During today’s conference the crown princess gave a keynote speech during the plenary session 4 entitled, Continents: What is Going On? Strengthening Global and Regional Networks. 

Earlier in the day, Crown Princess Mary visited the new headquarters of the International Criminal Court.  The new state of the art building was designed by the Denmark-based architectural firm, Schmidt Hammer Lassen.

HM Queen Maxima of the Netherlands Attends a Conference in Den Haag.

On the morning of November 4, 2015, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands along with Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark attended the 3rd World Conference of Women’s Shelters held at the Conference Center World Forum in Den Haag, Netherlands.

Held under the theme, Economic Independence of Women Survivors, today’s plenary session focused on the economic independence for women who face domestic violence which is the basis for building a new and independent life.

Tomorrow, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark will give a keynote speech during the plenary session, What is Going On? Strengthening Global and Regional Networks.

(VIDEO) HRH Crown Prince Haakon of Norway Visits Paris, France.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, November 3, 2015, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon of Norway arrived in Paris, France to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as well as to participate in the opening ceremony of the 38th session of UNESCO General Conference.

According to the UNESCO official website the future King of Norway also:

“…held meetings with representatives of the Organization’s Culture sector on the need to protect cultural heritage and UNESCO’s campaign, Unite4Heritage.  He also met with representatives from the Education sector on the importance of education for sustainable development and global citizenship.

Prince Haakon also attended a lunchtime event with UNESCO’s Director-General, Irina Bokova, to endorse the Safe Schools Declaration.  The declaration provides States with the opportunity to commit support for education in situations of armed conflict.”

(VIDEOS) HM King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands Visits Brussels.

On Tuesday, November 3, 2015, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands arrived in Brussels, Belgium, for a one-day visit.

His Majesty’s day began with a visit to the headquarters of the European Parliament where he met with its president, Mr. Martin Schulz.  Thereafter, His Majesty held a brief meeting with the President of the European Council, Mr. Donald Tusk, and met with representatives from the European Council.
