His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain Attends the 20th Anniversary of the Creation of the Federation of the Colleges of Lawyers of Europe

On February 2, 2012, His Majesty King Juan Carlos I of Spain attended the commemorative ceremony of the 20th Anniversary of the creation of the Federation of Colleges of Lawyers of Europe.

According to the official website for the royal house of Spain, His Majesty was accompanied by “…the President of the Constitutional Court, Pascual Sala, the Minister of Justice, Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón, and the President of Parlamenta in Catalonia, Nuria Gispert.”

During the ceremony His Majesty gave a speech noting the importance of today’s commoration:

…[it] has given us the opportunity to reflect on the importance of the profession of lawyer for the functioning of the rule of law, and on the need to support a vital role for the defense of the rights and freedoms of all citizens.

I know that today is facing new challenges specific to advanced and technological societies, at the time which is still actively engaged with other essential purposes. I am referring to safeguard professional secrecy or the assertion of a code of conduct at European level, based on solid values, laying down fundamental principles for the exercise of the legal profession…

Happy 10th Wedding Anniversary to Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands! (VIDEOS)

On February 2, 2002, His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje married married the vivacious Argentine, Miss Máxima Zorreguieta.  The couple met in 1999 in Sevilla, Spain during the Feria de Abril de Sevilla (it’s a fair thingy).

After years of dating, and with the final approval of the Dutch parliament to marry, Willem-Alexander and Máxima announced their engagement on March 30, 2001.

Less than a year later the couple were married. First, there was civil ceremony held at the Beurs van Berlage then a lavish religious ceremony held at the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam.

Today the couple have three daughters and the princess is remains one of the most popular members of the Dutch royal family.

His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales Scheduled to Play Beach Volleyball With Sexy Brazilians

According to the British newspaper, Telegraph, His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales is scheduled to play beach volleyball with incredibly hot & sexy Brazilians — wearing extremely small bikinis and mankinis — whilst in Rio de Janeiro in March 2012.

Apparently, the volleyball game is a fun break for the prince who will be touring the country as apart of a trade envoy, organized by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.  To read more please click here.

His Imperial Majesty Emperor Akihito of Japan to Have a Coronary Artery Exam

According to a press release from the Imperial Household Agency His Imperial Majesty Emperor Akihito of Japan will have a coronary artery exam on February 11, 2012.  AFP News is reporting the “… angiogram of his coronary arteries comes after the Emperor’s electrocardiogram showed a restricted blood flow to his heart.”  The Emperor’s doctors also “…previously found traces of bleeding in the emperor’s stomach, partly due to stress.”

This will be the second time within a year that His Imperial Majesty underwent this examination.  The Imperial Household Agency also noted that there will be “…no change in the Emperor’s official schedule.  The Emperor will go on a retreat to his villa in the Kanagawa Prefecture with the Empress beginning on Thursday.”

His Majesty King Albert II of Belgium Meets with Belgian Prime Minister Elio di Rupo. Plus, News Regarding Her Majesty Queen Paola.

On February 1, 2012, His Majesty King Albert II of Belgium met with Belgian Prime Minister, Elio de Rupo at Château de Laeken.  What they spoke about it unknown; however, it is safe to say that it most likely has something to do with boring politics.   🙂

Meanwhile, Her Majesty Queen Paola of Belgium was in Halle where she visited Heldenhuis, a place where the youth can:

…find the bed, to have moments of relaxation by games or sports as well as to find emotional assistance and support. The objective is to reach as many youths as possible and give them opportunities in a home which offers comfort, protection, warmth and joy.
