On Wednesday, March 13, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias held audiences at Palacio de la Zarzuela in Madrid.
The future king of Spain met with organizers of the Comité Organizador del V Congreso Nacional de Auditoría en el Sector Público, the Board of Directors of the Consejo Regulador de la Denominación de Origen Protegida “Alicante”, and the organizing committee of the V Foro para la Sostenibilidad Medioambiental del Turismo “Futuralia 2012”.
On March 13, 2013, His Royal Highness Prince Constantijn of the Netherlands presided over the presentation of the Geuzenpenning Award in Vlaardingen. According to RVD, the recipient of the award went to Ms. Radhia Nasraoui “…a Tunisian human rights activist who is committed to the fight against torture.”
Recently, Their Highnesses Hereditary Prince Hubertus and Hereditary Princess Kelly of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha attended the opening of the exhibition entitled, Sternstunden des Sport und Bogenschießens, at the Deutsche Schützenmuseum in Coburg.
On Monday, March 11, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands attended the farewell meeting, held at the Lucent Theater in Den Haag, of the Director of the Social and Cultural Planning Office, Professor Paul Schnabel.
This afternoon Prince Willem-Alexander receivedthe Great Atlas of the Dutch East India Company and the West India Company from the Chairman of the Royal Dutch Geographical Society, Professor Henk Ottens, at Paleis Noordeinde.
According to RVD:
“The atlas contains the entire legacy of hand-drawn maps, plans and topographic images of the fields of the Dutch East India Company (1602-1799) and the West India Company (1621-1791).
The atlas consists of nine parts and was created by a collaboration between the Royal Dutch Geographical Society (KNAG), the National Archives, the research URU Explokart of Utrecht University and Publishing Asia Major/Atlas Major.”
It was announced by Buckingham Palace that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has cancelled her two of her scheduled engagements on Wednesday and Thursday.
Per a press release:
“The Queen continues to make a good recovery following her recent illness, and today she presented The Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry and held a series of Audiences.
However, regrettably, she will no longer attend the Tech City engagement planned for tomorrow, or the Soldiers’ and Airmen’s Scriptures Association Service at the Guards Chapel on Thursday.
The Duke of York will represent The Queen at the Tech City visit, and The Duke of Edinburgh will attend the Guards Chapel Service as planned.
Her Majesty will, however, continue with the usual rhythm of business at Buckingham Palace, including holding a Privy Council meeting tomorrow.
The Queen hopes to resume her programme of official engagements next week.”

On March 12, 2013, His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf and President Abdullah Gül attended the inauguration of the Institute for Turkish Studies at Stockholm Univerity.
Meanwhile, Her Majesty Queen Silvia accompanied by First Lady Hayrünnisa Gül visited the Stockholm Public Library. Earlier in the day Their Majesties along with President Gül and the First Lady toured the Swedish Museum of Science and Technology followed by a luncheon held at the City Hall.
