News Regarding Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania of Jordan.

JordanHis Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan donated $706,000 to help fund the construction of a new building for the Sharia faculty at the University of Jordan in Amman.  The new building will “…enable students and researchers to carry out scientific and research projects.”

Meanwhile, Her Majesty Queen Rania visited the Al Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans where she met with the director of the Al Aman Fund, Ms. Maha Al Saqqa, and participants who have “…benefited from its vocational training schemes.”  

According to the Petra News Agency, in her meeting with:

“…private sector partners, Ms. Maha Al Saqqa, talked about their partnerships with some vocational training colleges and institutes as well as companies from the private sector. She elaborated on how this network enabled them to reach, serve, and train more orphans.

Ms. Saqqa also gave a brief about a recently launched campaign in partnership with Al Quds College on the occasion of Arab Orphans Week to encourage orphans to receive vocational training and seek job opportunities in this field.”

His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias Gives a Speech at the VII Foro Hispano-Alemán. (VIDEO)

fleaHis Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias attending the closing ceremony of the VII Foro Hispano-Alemán this morning in Madrid.  During today’s event the prince gave a speech calling for solidarity and cooperation between Spain, Germany and countries in the the European Union in general.  He also noted with optimism that the reforms that have begun will guarantee the sustainability of “…our social model.”

HRH Princess Mathilde of Belgium Attends the 2013 Prix InBev-Baillet Latour de la Santé.

PMatHer Royal Highness Princess Mathilde of Belgium was at the Palais des Academies in Brussels this morning where she attended the 2013 Prix InBev-Baillet Latour de la Santé.

“This important award is granted each year for the outstanding achievements in biomedical research for the benefit of human health.  It was established to encourage the laureate in the pursuit of his/her creative research, and is therefore intended for currently active biomedical scientists.  The award may be shared by two individuals who have collaborated closely over a long period.”

The recipents of the 2013 Prix InBev-Baillet Latour de la Santé went to: Professor Chantal Mathieu, Professor Laurence Boon and Professor Miikka Vikkula.

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Visits the Musée d’Anthropologie. (VIDEO)

His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco visited the Musée d’Anthropologie de Monaco to unveil the bones of a mammoth which will go on display sometime later this week at the musée.  The remains of the giant creature were donated to the sovereign prince and the Musée d’Anthropologie de Monaco by the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the State Duma of State of Russia, Mr. Leonid Slutsky.

Her Imperial Highness Crown Princess Masako of Japan to Attend the Investiture of HRH Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje? (VIDEO)

According to various sources Her Imperial Highness Crown Princess Masako of Japan may be allowed to travel to Amsterdam, Netherlands, along with her husband, His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan, to attend the inauguration/investiture of His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje on April 30.

If the Imperial Household Agency (IHA) believes the lovely crown princess is healthy enough to leave the country for several days, well, it would be a damn miracle.  So, keep your fingers crossed, folks.   🙂
