His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje Opens the European Heinz Innovation and Research Center. (VIDEOS)

His Royal Highness Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje was in Nijmegen this morning where he officially opened the European Heinz Innovation and Research Center.  According to RVD, the center has “…a kitchen for product development, a sensory center, facilities for consumer tests and a modern microbiology laboratory.  The center also serves as a hub for nutritional science and new product development.”

His Majesty King Albert II of Belgium Visits the Civil Protection Services Base in Ghiln.

Albert IIHis Majesty King Albert II of Belgium arrived at the Civil Protection Services base in Ghiln this morning where he was warmly greeted by the Prime Minister of Belgium, Mr. Elio Di Rupo, Colonel Nicolas Tuts, Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Broeckx, the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior, Ms. Joëlle Milquet, and the Governor of the Province of Hainaut, Mr. Tommy Leclercq.

During his visit the king witnessed various training exercises and emergency simulations performed by six divisions within the Civil Protection Services including the BFAST Dog Team and the Urban Search and Rescue Team.

TMs King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden Visit Croatia. Day Two. (VIDEO)

swedenOn their second day of their three-day state visit to Croatia Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden visited the University of Zagreb, where they toured the Department of Scandinavian Studies, met with various professors, and a few lucky students.

From there the royal couple visited the Ericsson Nikola Tesla (ENT) company where they met the president of ENT, Ms. Gordana Kovačević.  After a lovely luncheon at the Presidential Palace with President Josipović and First Lady Tatjana Josipović, Her Majesty and First Lady Josipović visited a rehabilitation center which “…trains assistance dogs used in the rehabilitation of people with disabilities.”

Meanwhile, His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf and President Josipović participated in a seminar entitled, Croatia the new EU Market: How can Sweden be a Business Partner.  Later in the afternoon the king accompanied the Swedish Foreign Minister, Mr. Carl Bildt, toured the manufacturing company, DOK-ING.  During his visit His Majesty was informed about “…the company’s latest prototype of an electric car and saw the equipment for mine removal, fire-fighting and mining industry.”  

In the evening, Their Majesties accompanied by President Josipović and First Lady Tatjana Josipović attended a lovely reception and concert.

News Regarding Members of the Grand Ducal Family of Luxembourg.

MTHLuxembourgTheir Royal Highnesses Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg have completed their successful visit to Vienna, Austria on April 17, 2013.  On their final day the grand-ducal couple visited a gorgeous Benedictine abbey in Melk and much more.

Meanwhile, Their Royal Highnesses Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stèphanie of Luxembourg arrived in Strasbourg, France, to begin their working visit to the European Parliament.
