Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands Attend a Remembrance Ceremony in Amsterdam. (VIDEOS)

NetherlandsOn May 4, 2013, Their Majesties King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands attended Dodenherdenking (National Remembrance Day) ceremony in Amsterdam.  During today’s important event Their Majesties attended a memorial service at the Nieuwe Kerk as well as placed a wreath at the National Monument on Dam Square according to RVD.

The purpose of this event is to remember those who fought and died during World War II as well as those who “…have died in wars or peacekeeping missions since the outbreak of WWII.”

Tomorrow, Their Majesties accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands will celebrate Bevrijdingsdag (Liberation Day) which “…marked the end of Nazi occupation in the Netherlands during WWII…”

His Majesty King Harald V of Norway Visits the Amazon Rainforest. (VIDEO)

According to the Norwegian royal court His Majesty King Harald V of Norway visited the Yanomani people living deep in the Amazon rainforest last week.  It has been a “…long-held dream [of His Majesty to visit].”  He spent four-days with the Yanomani people learning about their culture, traditions and much more.  The trip took place “…at the invitation of the Rainforest Foundation Norway.”

News Regarding Members of the Swedish Royal Family. (VIDEO)

SwedenVictoriaDanielOn Friday, May 3, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden continued their visit to the province of Västra Götaland.  Today, the royal couple visited Fryshuset in Göteborg and Bräcke Östergård.

Meanwhile, Their Majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden toured Uppsala County according to the Swedish royal court.  The reigning couple visited a dairy farm in Harbo, visited the companies Sublift AB, Svensk Kärnbränslehanterings (SKB), and Industrial Hydraulics AB, toured the town of Östhammar where Their Majesties toured the Town Hall Square, and finally attended a dinner at Uppsala Slott.

TRHs Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg Visit the Lycée Technique Hôtelier Alexis Heck.

gsOn Friday, May 3, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie of Luxembourg were in Diekirch to visit the Lycée Technique Hôtelier Alexis Heck.

According to the newspaper, Wort, the purpose of today’s visit was to “…say thanks to 70 students who were involved in cooking and serving the wedding banquet at Guillaume and Stéphanie’s wedding on October 19, 2012.”

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales Visits Poundbury.

PoWbwHis Royal Highness The Prince of Wales visited Poundbury, Dorchester, Dorset this afternoon to “…view an exhibition documenting the development of Poundbury over the past 20 years” according to the official website for the prince.

Afterward, the prince attended a reception where he mingled with locals and cuddled cute babies.  The Prince of Wales also visited Cambridge Court where he unveiled a nice shiny new plaque “….marking the building’s official opening…”

On May 2, 2013, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco visited the “…the second installment of the new state housing of the Jardins d’Appoline…”  The new buildings contains 116 apartments and meets all the latest environmental standards.. blah blah blah.  So, yeah, these buildings seem to be pretty fancy schmancy for government housing.  You won’t see this in the United States.  Then again it is Monaco.
