palais princierOn the evening of January 10, 2014, Her Serene Highness Princess Stephanie of Monaco arrived at the Musée Océanographique de Monaco to attend the opening of the new photo exhibition entitled, Il était une fois Baby et Népal.

The images of the rescued elephants were taken by Mr. Frédéric Nebinger.  The exhibition will be open to the public until February 9, 2014.

Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine of Sweden’s First Child to be Born in New York.

“After careful consideration and in consultation with the King and Queen, Princess Madeleine and Mr. Christopher O’Neill have decided that their child will be born in New York. Birth is estimated at the end of February 2014.

Princess Madeleine and Mr. O’Neill kindly request the media to respect their wish for privacy during this special and joyous time.

Further information will be given at birth.

News Regarding Their Royal Highnesses Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Asturias.

AsturiasOn January 10, 2013, Her Royal Highness Princess Letizia of Asturias participated in a meeting with representatives from the Federación Española de Enfermedades Raras (FEDER) in Madrid.

According to the official website for the FEDER the purpose of the meeting was to “…reinforce the ties between individuals with rare diseases and their families…”

Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark Visits Yangon, Myanmar. (VIDEO)

MaryOn Friday, January 10, 2014, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, as Patron of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), began her visit to the Southeast Asian country of Myanmar (aka Burma).

According to the official website for the UNFPA Myanmar the day began in Yangon where the crown princess accompanied by the Danish Minister for Development, Mr. Rasmus Petersen, visited the “…UNFPA-sponsored Youth Development Center…” 

Thereafter, the crown princess visited the Marie Stopes International health clinic as well as attended a reception with “…Danes living and working in Myanmar as well as NGOs and other partners in Yangon …” according to the Danish royal court.

His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias Presides Over the 22nd Edition of the Premio Bartolomé de las Casas.

casarealOn January 10, 2014, His Royal Highness Prince Felipe of Asturias presided over the 22nd Edition of the Premio Bartolomé de las Casas held at Palacio de La Zarzuela in Madrid.

During this afternoon’s ceremony the prince presented the 2014 Premio Bartolomé de las Casas (an award) to Chilean filmmaker, Ms. Jeannette Paillán.  Ms. Paillán accepted the award on behalf of the Coordinadora Latinoamericana de Cine y Comunicación de los Pueblos Indígenas (CLACPI).

belgiumOn Friday, January 10, 2014, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium hosted the 2014 New Year reception at the Palais de Bruxelles.

According to the Belgium royal court guests included the President of the European Council, Mr. Herman Van Rompuy, the Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Didier Reynders, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minster of Defense, Mr. Pieter de Cream, and the President of the European Parliament, Mr. Martin Schulz to name a few.
