Recently, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco was in Paris, France to attend the Société de Géographie award ceremony held at the Embassy of Monaco. During the ceremony the sovereign prince presented the 2013 Prix des Sciences de la Mer Albert I to Mr. François Bellac.

On Monday, January 27, 2014, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended Mass at the Cathédrale de Monaco in celebration of Sainte-Dévote, the patron saint of Monaco as well as the island of Corsica.
After Mass the princely couple returned to the palais where they opened the windows to wave to the happy Monégasques below.

On Sunday, January 26, 2014, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco along with the Archbishop of Monaco, Msgr. Bernard Barsi, members of the Diocese of Monaco, and dozens of Monégasque citizens celebrated the 2014 Fête de Sainte-Dévote.
Sainte-Dévote is the patron saint of Monaco as well as for the island of Corsica.
During this evening’s celebrations the princely couple and guests attended a torchlight ceremony at the Sainte-Dévote church where a boat is placed in front of the little church then set ablaze.
Tomorrow, the princely couple will attend a traditional Mass at the Cathédrale de Monaco then proceed to the Palais Princier where they are expected to make a balcony appearance.

On Saturday, January 25, 2014, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco signed copies of the photo book, KwaZulu Natal: Land of Dreams, by South African journalist, Ms. Tanya Waterworth and French journalist, Ms. Annick Thébia Melsan. The princess wrote the foreward to the photo book.
According to the South African newspaper, Mossel Bay Advertiser, the photo book was “…commissioned to show the people of the principality where Her Serene Highness Charlene of Monaco, former South African swimming gold medallist, comes from…”

On Saturday, January 25, 2014, Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Prince Constantijn and Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands arrived at the Lucent Danstheater in Den Haag to attend the opening of the 14th Edition of the Holland Dance Festival.
