On February 4, 2014, Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cornwall hosted a luncheon at Clarence House for supporters of the charity, The Brooke.
The Brooke, which is celebrating their 80th anniversary this year, is an “…international animal welfare organization committed to improving the lives of working horses, donkeys, mules and their owners…”
On Tuesday, February 4, 2014, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales visited the flood-hit communities of Stoke St. Gregory and Muchelney, Somerset.
Whilst in Stoke St. Gregory, according to Clarence House, The Prince of Wales “…met with local residents, farmers and emergency services personnel who have been affected by the recent flooding…”
Thereafter, the prince “…met with a local farming family at Thorney Moor Farm in Langport and the community of Muchelney…”

On Monday, February 3, 2014, His Royal Highness Prince Joachim of Denmark accompanied by his sons, Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix, attended the opening of the exhibition, Racersportens Historie en Miniature, held at the Tekniske Museum in Helsingør.
On Saturday, February 1, 2014, His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan attended a performance of the late Georges Bizet’s famous opera, Carmen, held at the New National Theatre in Tokyo.
On Monday, February 3, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Rania of Jordan met with members of the Military Retired Women Society in Amman.
According to Petra News, Her Majesty:
“…listen[ed] to [the members] as they briefed her about their goals and accomplishments. The Queen said she was proud of the women retirees and their determination to continue working, which benefits the retirees themselves, their families, and their communities.
During the meeting, Queen Rania relayed His Majesty King Abdullah II’s greetings to all female members and asserted the importance of the society’s efforts in utilizing the retirees’ experiences in various fields.”
On February 3, 2014, Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium arrived at the Palais d’Egmont in Brussels to the “…first day of Journées de Contact Diplomatiques (Diplomatic Contact Days)…” according to the Belgian royal court.
