“Almost 4,000 square metres of public space have been redeveloped in order to make the pedestrian street more pleasant and appealing for residents and business owners.
This first phase of renovation, at a cost of 2 million euros, is part of a series of commitments by the Government to modernize the entire La Condamine district.
The next step will be the opening of a lift linking Rue Millo to Rue Caroline in order to improve access for those with reduced mobility. Work on this stage is planned for the beginning of October.”

During today’s event His Majesty presided over the opening of the Academia Belgica’s two-day conference held under the theme, Renovatio, Inventio, Absentia Imperii: From the Roman Empire to Contemporary Imperialism. The event was organized by the Academia Belgica (Rome), with the support of the Belgian Historical Institute in Rome, and the Princess Marie-José Foundation.
