On Wednesday, September 10, 2014, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover inaugurated the newly renovated Rue Caroline in the La Condamine district in Monaco.
According to the official website for the Gouvernement Princier de Monaco:
“Almost 4,000 square metres of public space have been redeveloped in order to make the pedestrian street more pleasant and appealing for residents and business owners.
This first phase of renovation, at a cost of 2 million euros, is part of a series of commitments by the Government to modernize the entire La Condamine district.
The next step will be the opening of a lift linking Rue Millo to Rue Caroline in order to improve access for those with reduced mobility. Work on this stage is planned for the beginning of October.”
