On September 3, 2014, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden attended the 2014 Stockholm Junior Water Prize held at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden.
The winner of the award went to Miss Hayley Todesco for “…inventing a method that uses sand filters to treat oil contaminated water and recover water for reuse…” according to the website, World Water Week.

On Thursday, September 4, 2014, Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands attended the opening of Paviljoen Nederland en de Eerste Wereldoorlog (Pavilion Netherlands and the First World War) held on the grounds of the Museum Huis Doorn in Doorn.
According to the Dutch photo agency, PPE, the permanent exhibition at the museum is “…based on five themes [and] pictures the daily life in the years [between] 1914-1918…”
