On May 28, 2015, Her Royal Highness Princess Marie of Denmark attended the 2015 Specialskolernes Idrætsdag (Special Schools Sports Day) held at the Aabenraa Stadium in Aabenraa.
According to the newspaper, LokalAvisen, students from special needs schools from around South Jutland participated in today’s activities. During her visit “…the Princess toured a sensory tent, where children with multiple disabilities had the opportunity to have different stimulated senses…”

On Thursday, May 28, 2015, Their Imperial Majesties Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko of Japan attended the 50th anniversary celebrations of Kodomo-no-Kuni (Children’s Land) Amusement Park in Yokohama, Japan.
The Japanese newspaper, Asahi Shimbun, notes that the “…amusement park was constructed by the congratulatory money from across Japan when the emperor and empress were newlyweds…”
On the morning of May 28, 2015, Their Majesties King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited public broadcasting company for the Flemish region, Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroeporganisatie (VRT), in Brussels.
Upon their arrival to the television station Their Majesties were warmly welcomed by current VRT CEO, Mr. Leo Hellemans, and VRT’s Chairman of Board, Mr. Luc Van den Brande.
After attending a meeting, whereupon Their Majesties were informed about the on-going challenges facing the public broadcasting network (as all public networks around the world deal with), they were given a tour of the station’s studios including “..where VRT’s television news bulletins are made, the studio used by the VRT’s children’s television network ‘Ketnet’ and the studio used by the consumer affairs program ‘Volt’…” writes VRT via a press release.

On Wednesday, May 27, 2015, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal opened Ashley Place in Bognor Regis, West Sussex. The new facility provides care for individuals with disabilities.

On Wednesday, May 27, 2015, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark visited the Psykiatrifondens Reach Out Bus as well as presided over a “…information session, with 6th grade students from the Ruds Vedby Skole, on mental health and well-being…” according to the Danish royal court.

On May 27, 2015, His Majesty King Philippe of Belgium hosted a reception at Château de Laeken for representatives of the Jewish community in Belgium. Earlier, His Majesty accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Mathilde held an audience with the United Nations Secretary-General, Mr. Ban Ki-moon, and his wife, Yoo Soon-taek, at the Palais de Bruxelles.
