HRH Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton to live in the Late Diana, Princess of Wales’s Home?

According to the Telegraph newspaper, it is true.  But, as you know by now, dear friends, you should take what the press has to say with a grain of salt.

Anyway, this is what the reporter from the Telegraph has to say about the supposed move:

‘William has let it be known that he wants them to live at Kensington Palace,’ says a courtier. ‘It is where he grew up and he has very happy memories.’

It has been suggested that Kate and William might live at St James’s Palace, but this is dismissed by the courtier. ‘St James’s Palace is dark, dingy and depressing,’ he says. ‘William does not want to live there.’

Miss Catherine Middleton’s Tatler Magazine Warholesque Cover: Um, yeahhh

The geniuses who brought you Miss Charlene Wittstock’s infamous cover a few months ago, looking like Sharon Stone’s cheap sleazy sister from the movie Casino, are at it again. Yup,  that’s right… it’s Tatler Magazine!

Yay!

To say that the editor as well as art director and design team have failed yet again is an understatement.  So who is their victim this month?  Why it is Miss Catherine Middleton (you know… the woman who is about to marry HRH Prince William of Wales on April 29, 2011.)

Someone at Tatler Magazine had the Einstein idea to give her the “…Andy Warhol treatment… a pop art-style montage…”   Look, I’ll just cut to the case:  The cover is one hot freaking mess!  First, there was that gawd awful coin of Miss Middleton and HRH Prince William.  Now, there is this tacky and otherwise ugly cover.

The bottom righthand corner photo makes her look like a green monster from hell.  The layout is just… ugh!  I honestly feel bad for Miss Middleton.  Furthermore, I am beginning to wonder if those who make the final decisions at Tatler Magazine secretly hate royals and princely families.  Yeah, I know they are a “high society” magazine, but honestly…  I just don’t know what else to say.  Except…

In case you were wondering, Miss Middleton did not give an interview with the magazine and the image is from the official engagement announcement press conference back in November 2010.

Who Will Design Catherine Middleton’s Wedding Dress?

That is the big question these days.  Designers from around the world have submitted their sketches to the future Queen of England and they have also submitted their work to WWD.

Here are some ideas from the world’s most famous fashion designers.

Karl Lagerfeld believes she should look like a Victorian princess… high boots and all.  He must be on crack or something because this gown is awful!

Monique Lhuillier believes the gown should be “…a modern mix of the traditional and contemporary.”

For designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli for the House of Valentino, they believe Catherine should wear, “…a ‘blossoming’ dress because we imagined her as a new Botticellian Venus.”

For Tom Mora he believes, “…hat there will be so many comparisons to the late Princess Diana that her dress should almost be the opposite of what Diana’s was — modern, simple and very elegant.”

Alberta Ferretti notes, “In Kate I see the natural, radiant and self-confident attitude of today’s girls. For this, I can’t help but think of an embroidered, fluid-silhouette dress in precious fabrics that will help her make an everlasting impression.”

For Frida Giannini for the House of Gucci she notes that, “…the balance Kate Middleton strikes between elegant and contemporary with her unmistakable style. For her, I had in mind clean lines, soft shapes and classic touches such as the boat neckline and distinctive train.”

Yigal Azrouël wants Catherine too look, “…sophisticated, but also a modern-day wedding gown for a young princess. Its elongated silhouette combined with the lace and draping of the skirt is glamorous and elegant, while the neckline and bodice remain modern.
Kimberly Ovitz really didn’t care about her design nor Catherine.  She just scribbled something on a piece of paper and said, “Modern.”  Put a lot of thought into that, eh Kim?

I think Catherine would look amazing in this gown!!  Hello Kitty Wedding dress FTW!!!

In all seriousness, Catherine Middleton will most likely hire a British designer, and many believe the designer will be Bruce Oldfield from London.
