His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco Loves His Bicycle!

On Sunday, April 29, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco enjoyed his leisurely day off by participating in a “charity bicycle race” to raise money for the Princesse Charlene de Monaco Fondation.

The sovereign prince along with “…thirty high-profile racers cycled from St.Tropez to the principality…”  At this time it is unknown how much money was raised for the Princess Charlene’s personal foundation which helps disadvantaged youths around the world.

Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco Visits L’Exposition Canine Internationale de Monaco

On Saturday, April 28, 2012, Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco attended L’Exposition Canine Internationale de Monaco held at the Espace Fontevielle in Monaco.

The two-day event, organized by the Societe Canine de Monaco, was also attended by Baroness Elizabeth-Anne de Massy, Melanie-Antoinette de Massy, and the princess’s brother, Mr. Gareth Wittstock.

According to the newspaper, Monaco Matin, the baroness “resumed” the L’Exposition Canine Internationale de Monaco in honor of her late mother, Princess Antoinette, and her grandmother Princess Charlotte:

My mother was quite passionate about dogs, but unfortunately in recent years she participated less and less for health reason.

 Today, I believe that the event is truly in need of the young. The objective is to revive this event to a high level internationally as it once was…

Random Royal News Regarding the Beau Sancy Diamond (Owned by H.I.R.H. Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia) and His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco. (VIDEO)

As you may or may not know by now the famous Beau Sancy diamond, currently owned by His Imperial and Royal Highness Prince Georg Friedrich of Prussia, is about to be sold at auction via Sotheby’s in Geneva next month.  In the video above, Mr. David Bennett discusses the history of the diamond and much more.

Meanwhile, at the Palais Princier de Monaco, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II held a meeting with the President of the 66th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations, Mr. Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Naser.

Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco Inaugurates the New Exhibition ‘Turtle Island’ at the Musée Océanographique (VIDEOS)

Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco inaugurated the new permanent exhibition entitled, ‘Turtle Island’, at the Musée Océanographique in Monaco on April 24, 2012.

According to the official website for the Musée Océanographique ‘Turtle Island’ “… consists of three exhibition spaces.” The first area is dedicated to the discovery and the protection of land and sea turtles. It is a space where adults and children alike can view various turtles including a Sulcata tortoise (turtle) from Mali.  There are information signs that will help to raise public awareness about these unique species.

The second area will is a game space with a sea theme.

The third area is the relaxation lounge area located in the West Terrace of the musée where parents can sit, relax, eat while watching their children play, discover, scream, cry and generally have a fantastic time.

‘Turtle Island’ at the Musée Océanographique will open to the public beginning on April 25, 2012.  For more information about this new permanent exhibition please visit the musée’s official website here.

Random Royal News Regarding Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco

On Sunday, April 22, 2012, Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco attended the 2102 Monte-Carlo ATP Masters Series Tournament held at the Monte-Carlo Country Club.  Also in attendance were Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine of Serbia.

The sovereign prince and princess, along with hundreds of tennis fanatics, watched the intense match between Mr. Novak Đoković and Mr. Rafael Nadal.  After the game Prince Albert II awarded a giant tennis cup thingy to Mr. Nadal.  So what was the final score?  Nadal.  6-3 6-1.

On April 19, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II attended the 5th Edition of the FX Pro Monte-Carlo Beach Volleyball competition.

The event, organized by the Fédération Monégasque de Volleyball and chaired by the sovereign prince, is held on the famous Lavotto Beach, attracts some of the best teams from around the world to compete for a prize worth $10,000. For more information about this event please click here.

And, finally, it was recently announced that on May 23, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II will attend Nights in Monaco charity event to be held at the Hotel de Paris in Monte-Carlo.  The event, also attended by former President Bill Clinton, will benefit the Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco and the William J. Clinton Foundation.

Random Royal News Regarding His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco and Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover

On Saturday, April 21, 2012, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco participated in a tennis match with well-known French journalist and friend of the sovereign prince, Mr. Patrick Poivre d’Arvor in Monaco.  The match was “… a part  of the Monte-Carlo ATP Masters Series Tournament” held at the Monte-Carlo Country Club.

Yesterday, the sovereign prince visited the Grimaldi Forum to view the exhibition show, Top Marques Monaco.  Click here to learn more about the event (in French).

Also on Friday, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover visited the exhibition, Groupe Signe 1971-1974, L’Art de la Rue au Musée?, held at the Villa Paloma at the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco. According to the official website for the musée this exhibition:

… was developed by a collective of group of artists, created and animated after 1968, by Claude Rosticher and Roland Marghieri painters and photographers Michel Cresp and Pierre Lequien, all originating in Monaco or the surrounding area.

The group is identified through its interventions in selected public places, based on themes such as advertising or the creation of more poetic universe. It is therefore the universe created between 1971 and 1974 that the public will be able to find in the showrooms of the Villa Paloma.

Random Royal News Regarding Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands and Her Serene Highness Princess Stephanie of Monaco. Plus, News Regarding Pierre Casiraghi and His New BFF Mr. Adam Hock.

After recently dumping their old holiday villa in Mozambique Their Royal Highnesses Prince Willem-Alexander of Oranje and Princess Maxima of the Netherlands decided it was time to buy a new vacay spot in beautiful southern Greece.  According to BBC News the royal couple purchased their new $5.9 million villa near the village of Kranidi.

Meanwhile, Her Serene Highness Princess Stephanie of Monaco was recently on holiday in Marbella, Spain.  The princess was seen enjoying the sites in the lovely Spanish town alongside a mildly handsome dude.  At this time it is unknown if this dark haired guy is Princess Stephanie’s new boyfriend or bodyguard.  Click here and here to view photos.

Finally, the New York Post is reporting that “…lawyers for the royals Pierre are firing off legal letters to media in France and Germany…” who wrote about the February 12, 2012, infamous Double Seven brawl between Mr. Pierre Casirahgi and Mr. Adam Hock.  Apparently, Mr. Casiraghi’s attorneys believe that the punching match between Mr. Casiraghi and Mr. Adam Hock is a “private matter.”

Huh.  Oh-kay.
