Their Royal Highnesses Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Theresa of Luxembourg Attend a Ceremony in Weilburg an der Lahn

On February 25, 2012, Their Royal Highnesses Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Theresa of Luxembourg attended a ceremony in Weilburg an der Lahn to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of Grand Duke Guillaume IV of Luxembourg.  During the ceremony a new statue was unveiled.

Random Royal News Regarding His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco

On February 15, 2012, His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg held an audience with the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic, Ms. Miroslava Němcová, at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg.

Meanwhile, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco continued his visit to West Africa today.  During his state visit to Mali the sovereign prince officially inaugurated the Honorary Consulate of Monaco in Mali.

Later on in the afternoon Prince Albert II arrived in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso where he was greeted by the Prime Minister, Mr. Luc-Adolphe Tiao.  Later the sovereign prince had a meeting with the President of Burkina Faso, Mr. Blaise Compaoré, held at the Palais de Kosyam.  During a press conference Prince Albert II he thanked the government as well as people for the “warm welcome” and looks forward to “strengthening of bilateral cooperation” between the two countries.

Random Royal News Regarding Her Royal Highness Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg and H.R.H. Princess Caroline of Hanover (VIDEO)

On February 9, 2012, Her Royal Highness Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg, along with the Minister of Justice, François Biltgen, visited the Givenich Prison Centre.  The Grand Duchess toured the Men’s Detention building which offers workshops, education and training.

Meanwhile, Her Royal Highness Princess Caroline of Hanover’s charity AMADE recently raised over €475.000 for the  Republic of Burundi.  The funds raised will help “… improvements in medical aid and care as well as education…”

His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg attended the 2012 Economy Days conference held at the Chamber of Commerce on February 8, 2012.

This two-day conference brings together business leaders and economic decision makers to reflect and analyze the economic as well as industrial situation in  Luxembourg and beyond.

Her Royal Highness Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg Attends the Conference ‘Stop aux Mutilations Génitales Féminine’s

On February 6, 2012, Her Royal Highness Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg attended a conference and roundtable discussion entitled, ‘Stop aux Mutilations Génitales Féminines’, in Luxembourg.

The event, organized by the Foundation Follereau Luxembourg, was also attended by Somali supermodel and author of the book Desert Flower Ms. Waris Dirie, Emeritus Professor at the University of Brussels Dr. Jean-Jacques Amy, and  many others. The purpose of today’s conference is to discuss and bring attention to the horrific practice of female genital mutilation.

His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg Attends the Swearing-In of the New Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade. Plus, News Regarding H.R.H. Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume.

On January 31, 2012, His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg attended the swearing-in of Mr Etienne Schneider, the new Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, held at the Palais Grand-Ducal.

Meanwhile, on January 30, 2012, His Royal Highness Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg continues his adventures in Brussels, Belgium.  The heir to the grand-ducal throne participated in various meetings with members of the Committee of Permanent Representatives and the Political and Security Committee of the European Union.

Random Royal News Regarding H.R.H. Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and H.S.H. Prince Alois of Liechtenstein.

This morning at the Grand Ducal Palace in Luxembourg His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri held an audience with Belgian Prime Minister, Mr. Elio Di Rupo.  The prime minister is currently in Luxembourg for a brief working visit.

And, finally in the Dutch online newspaper, RD.nl, there is an interesting article regarding His Serene Highness Prince Alois of Liechtenstein.
