On Wednesday, July 24, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall arrived at the Royal Welsh Showground to attend the 50th Royal Welsh Show at Llanelwedd, Builth Wells.
According to the official website for the Royal Welsh Agricultural Society the Royal Welsh Show is one of the largest agricultural shows in Europe which:
“…showcases the cream of Welsh livestock and the high quality food and drink produced in Wales, it [the show] encompasses the wider spectrum of farming and rural life and successfully bridges the gap between town and country.
It provides something to interest everyone through its kaleidoscopic range of activities including forestry, horticulture, crafts, countryside sports, Sports Village and a 12 hour programme of exciting entertainment that continues throughout each of the four days of the event.”
Upon their arrival The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall were warmly welcomed by various officials as well as by the thousands of guests attending today’s show. According to Clarence House, the royal couple toured the main ring and food hall where they met with local farmers and business owners, representatives from rural charities, and volunteers.

Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal arrived in Boston, Lincolnshire this morning to attend a service of dedication for the Puritan Path Tourism Project at St. Botolph’s Church.
According to the newspaper, Lincolnshire Echo, the Puritan Path Tourism Project:
“…commemorates the twelve important Puritan men and women from the congregation of St. Botolph’s Church, Boston, who left England for the New World in the 1630s as part of the Massachusetts Bay Company…”

Afterward, The Princess Royal arrived at Apex Lake in North Hykeham, Lincolnshire to attend the 5th anniversary celebrations of the Hykeham Sailability Club and to “…launch a new safety boat sponsored by The Rotary Club of Sleaford.” For more information please click here.
On Wednesday, July 24, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II arrived at Kensington Palace in London to visit Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and, of course, the new royal baby.
The British network, ITN, reports that Her Majesty “…stayed for 30 minutes before heading back to Buckingham Palace.”
After the meeting, the duke and duchess and their sweet newborn prince left Kensington Palace for Bucklebury.
On July 23, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace for the winners of the 2013 Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise are “…awards for outstanding achievement by UK businesses in the categories of innovation, international trade and sustainable development…” according to various sources.
On July 23, 2013, Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex arrived at the Swiss Cottage Leisure Center in London to meet with members of the British Wheelchair Basketball team.
During her visit a reporter asked the lovely countess about The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s newborn son, “I feel ridiculously happy, actually. So excited for them both. It’s a wonderful event.”
