Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal Visits the National Coal Mining Museum for England. (VIDEOS)

AnneOn July 23, 2013, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal arrived at the National Coal Mining Museum for England in Overton, West Yorkshire this afternoon to open the museum’s new tour, Go Mining!

According to the newspaper, Wakefield Express, the princess “…travelled 140m down and deep into the Caphouse Colliery mine for a tour of the recently conserved Furnace Shaft, displays and underground classrooms plus the refurbished Meet a Miner attraction.”

TRHs The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Introduce Their Little Prince. (VIDEOS)

On July 23, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stepped out of the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in London to introduce their precious newborn son to the press.

After the brief photo-op and waves to the crowds waiting to get a glimpse of the little prince the royal couple hopped into their Range Rover and drove home.

TRHs The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall Visit Various Towns in East Yorkshire. (VIDEOS)

On July 23, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall arrived in East Yorkshire for a one-day visit to the region.

The day began with their arrival in Bugthorpe where the royal couple met with locals and government officials before heading off to visit the Uncleby Education Centre in Kirby.

The royal couple also visited the town of Bridlington.  Whilst there The Prince of Wales met with “…fisherman and members of the local community at the Harbour while The Duchess of Cornwall met with representatives of local charities and community groups at Bridlington Spa…” according to Clarence House.  The prince and the duchess also attended the 900th anniversary celebrations of the Bridlington Priory as well as met the local residents in Withernsea just south of Bridlington. 

And, finally, The Prince of Wales visited the village of Burton Fleming where he met with “…emergency workers and members of the community who were affected by the January 2013 floods…”

It’s A Boy for TRHs The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge!! (UPDATES & VIDEOS)

It was announced by Kensington Palace that Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge has delivered a healthy baby boy weighing 8pounds 6 ounces at 4:24 London time.

His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge was present during the birth.

Mother and child are doing well and will remain in the hospital overnight.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, and His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales have been informed of the birth and are delighted according to Clarence House.

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales released a statement this evening upon hearing the news of the birth of the new prince:

“Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandson.  It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy.

Grandparenthood is a unique moment in anyone’s life, as countless kind people have told me in recent months, so I am enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first time and we eagerly looking forward to seeing the baby in the near future.”

The Duke of Cambridge also released a brief statement to the press saying, “We could not be happier!”

Wonderful news!  Congrats to Their Royal Highnesses and may God Bless the new prince!

HRH The Prince of Wales Visits the National Railway Museum in York. (VIDEOS)

On July 22, 2013, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales visited the National Railway Museum in York to celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Mallard steam locomotive.

According to the BBC News, the Mallard set a record in 1938 as the “…world’s fastest steam locomotive at 126 miles per hour, a record that remains to this day.”
