On November 7, 2013, His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex was officially installed as the 5th Chancellor of the University of Bath in South West England. The ceremony took place inside Bath Abbey in front “…240 dignitaries and university staff…”
According to the official website for the University of Bath as Chancellor The Earl of Wessex will “…preside over meetings of the Court, confer degrees at graduation and otherwise represent the University.”

On November 7, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge “…surprised hundreds of commuters as they travelled on a 1960s Routemaster bus to High Street Kensington station where they met military personnel and volunteers supporting London Poppy Day…” according to Kensington Palace.
Thereafter, the duke arrived at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton to “…observe a surgery of the removal of a bladder tumor on a male patient…”

On November 6, 2013, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall began their nine-day visit to India and Sri Lanka.
According to Clarence House the royal couple:
“…were warmly welcomed back to India in an extraordinary sunset Aarti ceremony by the sacred River Ganges in the holy Hindu city of Rishikesh. Their Royal Highnesses crossed the River Ganges by boat, arriving at the Gita Bhavan landing stage near the Parmarth Ganga Ghat where the ceremony took place.
On arrival, The Prince and The Duchess were greeted by Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji Maharaj (known as “Swamiji”), President and Spiritual Head of Parmarth Niketan Ashram, and Sadhvi Bhagwati Saraswatiji, President of the Divine Shakti Foundation.
After taking part in the ceremony, which involved religious songs and a lively display of traditional lamps, The Prince spoke warmly about how much it meant to both himself and The Duchess to be visiting the Ganges.”

On Tuesday, November 5, 2013, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh welcomed the President of South Korea, Ms. Park Geun-hye, to England.
According to the British royal court, the day began with the traditional “…ceremonial welcome on Horse Guards Parade.” Thereafter, Her Majesty and The Duke of Edinburgh arrived at Buckingham Palace to attend a private luncheon held in President Geun-hye’s honor. Once lunch was over Her Majesty ushered President Geun-hye into the “…Picture Gallery [where they viewed an] exhibition of Korean related items from the Royal Collection and Royal Archives.”
