Today (29 March 2012), Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal officially opened a new display of the world famous Crown Jewels at the Tower of London which has been completed to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty The Queen. A major re-presentation of the Jewel House has given the Crown Jewels a home fit for the 21st century, with new displays showing the jewels like never before. This project has been generously supported by the De Beers Family of Companies.

On March 28, 2012, Her Royal Highness the Countess of Wessex inaugurated the Leeds Children’s Hospital.  Click here to watch a video news report as well as to read an article.

On their final day in Denmark Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall visited VIA University College Campus Horsens on March 27, 2012.

According to the official website for VIA, the prince and duchess had requested “…to visit VIA University College, Campus Horsens in order to hear about research and development of Eco-friendly solutions which can contribute to a reduction of CO2 emissions.”

Once on campus the royal couple met with the students as well as faculty then toured a “3D modeling laboratory” and more.

Afterward, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall visited the Barritskov Farm which packages as well as produces organic vegetables and a bunch of other stuff I cannot think of at the moment.   🙂

In the gardens of Kensington Palace Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge did something most of us do (rather those who have pets)… she walked her cute little dog, Lupo.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh visited Manchester, England on March 23, 2012 as part of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.  During their visit the queen and the duke opened several hospitals including Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and Saint Mary’s Hospital.

The queen also opened the BBC Salford Media Center while the duke opened the University of Salford Media City.  Afterward, Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh attended a luncheon held in their honor at the Manchester Town Hall.

On March 20, 2012, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was at Westminster Hall where she addressed both Houses of Parliament to “… commemorate Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee.”  The queen was accompanied by His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh.

On March 19, 2012, Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge inaugurated The Treehouse hospice in Ipswich, England.

The duchess was warmly greeted by hundreds of well wishers and local dignitaries as she arrived.  Soon, she was ushered into the new building where she was given a tour of the facility where she meet with the hospice staff and patients.  Afterward, she gave a lovely speech then planted a tree on the grounds of the new hospice.
