On Friday, October 16, 2015, His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco gave a keynote speech during the 2015 Arctic Circle Assembly held at the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Center in Reykjavík, Iceland.
Established in 2013 the Arctic Circle Assembly is the world’s foremost meeting for international cooperation on Arctic issues with more than 1,500 participants from over 50 countries attending the annual meeting each year.
On Saturday, October 17, 2015, the sovereign prince attended the gala, Africa on the Rock, held at the Hôtel de Paris in Monte-Carlo. The event was organized by the AMREF Flying Doctors in collaboration with the Fondation Princesse Charlene de Monaco.
And, finally, this morning at the Palais Princier the sovereign prince welcomed delegation from town of Matignon, France, to the palais on the occasion of Monaco Heritage Day. According to the Palais Princier, the sovereign prince listened to a “…serenade of traditional Breton music [in] tribute to Prince Albert.”
In a statement about today’s event the Palais Princier also notes that an:
“…exhibition about the Hotel Matignon, the Paris living place of the Princes of Monaco in the eighteenth century, was presented in the Palace library. The sovereign prince was keen to accommodate visitors who came to attend one of the exhibition presentations, almost three hundred years to the day after the celebration, in Monaco, of the Matignon-Grimaldi marriage, in October 20 1715.”
