On Thursday, November 6, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands arrived in Warffum to visit, Power-Play, a program which offers music lessons to primary school students.

Thereafter, Her Majesty visited the organization, Rijdende Popschool, in Garmerwolde. Established in 2011, by a then Princess Maxima of the Netherlands, the Rijdende Popschool is supported by the Kinderen Maken Muziek, in collaboration with the Oranje Fonds and the Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie. According to RVD, the purpose of organization is “…to make music accessible to all and to connect people and generations.”
