On the evening of Saturday, November 8, 2014, Her Majesty Queen Maxima of the Netherlands attended the 10th Internationaal Franz Liszt Pianoconcours (International Franz Liszt Piano Competition) held at the TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht.
Held every three years the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition is devoted entirely to the piano works by Franz Liszt. The event is one of the best-known and prestigious piano competitions in the world, and is also known for the thorough and professional support it offers its laureates.
This year’s finalists are Miss Mariam Batsashvili from Georgia, Mr. Mengjie Han from The Netherlands and Mr. Peter Klimo from The United States.
On November 8, 2014, His Royal Highness Prince Harry of Wales attended the QBE International England vs. New Zealand rugby match at Twickenham Stadium in London, England. During half-time the popular prince met with the Director of the RFU Injured Players Foundation, Dr. Mike England, and Mr.Nigel Kilby. Prince Harry is Vice Patron of RFU Injured Players Foundation.
On Saturday, November 8, 2014, Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited the Valero Oil refinery in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
During today’s visit the royal couple met with staff as well as unveiled a painting marking the 50th anniversary of the oil refinery. Later in the day, the duke and duchess will travel to Cardiff to watch a rugby match between Wales and Australia at the Millennium Stadium.
